An Evening of One Acts

FFP is bringing back a concept first done in the 1960’s while the company was still without a permanent home. Four separate one act plays will be presented:

Box and Cox

Mr. Box, a hatter, and Mr. Cox, a printer, have been, unbeknownst to them, sharing the same room, due to an unscrupulous landlady, Mrs. Bouncer. Hilarity unfolds when the two men occupy the same room at the same time.

Driver’s Test

Gail goes to the DMV to take her driver’s test. Her tester is a highly unorthodox, seemingly unbalanced woman named Margie. Gail’s test is a wild ride indeed!

Challenging, brutal and hilarious, four women of various shapes and sizes sitting in the waiting room of a liposuction clinic explore their perceptions of body image. The women reveal their experiences dealing with their weight issues through monologues, short scenes, and even schoolyard rhymes. From painful childhood memories to frustrations with the opposite sex, these experiences both haunt and empower these women as they imagine their way to a new vision of themselves as beautiful and whole. WARNING: This segment contains strong language.
