Of all the shows in our tribute to the movies season, this is the show that needs the least introduction.
It's hard to imagine a musical which has captivated the hearts and minds of Americans in the same way that The Wizard of Oz has. It is an enduring and magical part of our culture. The Wizard of Oz teaches us compassion, humility, and confidence in ourselves and how to recognize the power of love.
The Royal Shakespeare Company version of this play most closely compares to the movie we have come to love. Come celebrate this triumph of the heart and return with us to the dreams of our youth as we, once more, journey down the yellow brick road in this 70th anniversary year of the MGM classic.
