Audition Info for “Titanic- the Musical!”

Auditions for Titanic- the Musical will take place Feb 26th & 27th at Fort Findlay Playhouse (300 W Sandusky St) at 7:00pm. The theater will open by 6:30pm. You are welcome both evenings, but only required to come one evening. Auditions are open to those high school age and above. Any auditioners under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to sign a liability waiver.

Auditionees will sing up to 60 seconds of a prepared musical theater song of their choice. When selecting your song, please keep in mind the style of the show and choose a piece that highlights your ability to connect with the song and emote. Please choose a selection that is not from the show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key for your selection. Those who do not bring a song will be asked to sing a verse of Somewhere Over the Rainbow or Some Enchanted Evening. Please note: no a capella or sound track auditions will be accepted.

At the audition, auditionees will also do light movement. While most characters will only have light movement requirements, there is an ensemble track that features two dancers who serve as the entertainment and dance instructors on the ship. There will also be cold reads from the script.

Synopsis: Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic- The Musical is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own. All innocently unaware of the fate awaiting them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the Second Class imagine they too can join the lifestyles of the rich and famous, while the millionaire Barons of the First Class anticipate legacies lasting forever.
