The King and I opened on Broadway 60 years ago and has been playing somewhere in the world ever since! The show won Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Actress and Best Featured Actor. Set in Siam (modern day Thailand) in the 1860s, this charming musical deals with the experiences of a widowed British school teacher, Anna Leonowens, who is hired by the King in his attempt to modernize his country. The relationship between Anna and the King is marked by conflict and a love that neither the King nor Anna may express. Stirring and beautiful musical numbers include Getting to Know You; Shall We Dance?; Hello, Young Lovers; I Have Dreamed and the charming ballet sequence The Small House of Uncle Thomas. This is a show for the entire family and will be a special treat at Christmastime.

Produced in association with Rodgers and Hammerstein
